Annual Gala to Benefit Juno Beach’s Loggerhead Marinelife Center

Where will you be when the lights go out? Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s premiere fundraiser, the Fourth Annual Lights Out Gala, is scheduled for Friday, February 25, 2011 from 6:30 to 11:00 p.m. The event will take place at Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s state of the art facility overlooking the ocean at 14200 US Highway One in Juno Beach. Chaired by Susan Johnson and Beth Neuhoff, both of Jupiter, the gala will honor the great conservationist Nathaniel Reed. The evening is a celebration of the start of sea turtle nesting season which begins on Florida’s east coast on March 1st.

Susan Johnson and Beth Neuhoff are co-chairing the 4th Annual Lights Out Gala.

Themed Under the Sea Soiree, this year’s gala will charm over 200 guests with its paradisiacal aesthetics, bringing together the event design talents of Dalsimer Atlas and LeClique Entertainment. Cocktails alongside Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s FPL Turtle Yard will kick-off the evening, while the beauty and delicacy of the center’s 12 current sea turtle patients captivate party goers. After cocktails, guests will enjoy a dinner prepared by Bonefish Grill and dancing to the beat of a DJ. The event’s co-chair Beth Neuhoff said, “In a season filled with black-tie galas, we wanted to create a fun, completely casual evening that showcases Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s work to promote ocean conservation including rescuing and rehabilitating sick and injured sea turtles.” She added, “What better setting for an under-sea celebration!”

The event’s raffle will feature a seven-day cruise to any worldwide destination by Regent Seven Seas Cruises; a $2,500 shopping spree from clothing company Vineyard Vines; and a $500 “Dining Around” package courtesy of Palm Beach Illustrated. The evening will also include the exclusive debut of the Vineyard Vines tie created to benefit Loggerhead Marinelife Center as the newest feature in the company’s Tied to a Cause Collection. Guests pledging additional minimum donations of $250.00 to the center will come home with the tie that evening.

Cocktails will take place alongside the FPL Turtle Yard and Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s current sea turtle patients.
