Fourth Annual Juno Beach Pier Photo Contest Opens Monday, July 2nd

2017 Winner Michael Brown
Loggerhead Marinelife Center is calling photographers of all ages and experiences to submit their best photo of the Juno Beach Pier for the Center’s Fourth Annual Juno Beach Pier Photo Contest. Submissions open Monday, July 2 and run until Friday, August 10.
As a treasured Palm Beach County icon, the Juno Beach Pier has been the subject of avid anglers, pier-goers and photographers for years. Last year, contestants from across Palm Beach County participated, with over 80 photo submissions and over 40,000 views of the Facebook album. Notably, the contest also created considerable engagement in the community.
Photos must reveal one’s own “pier-spective” of the iconic Juno Beach Pier in some way. All submissions will be uploaded to Facebook for an independent panel of judges to review and identify the winners. The most “liked” photo will be named the Facebook fan favorite.
LMC will showcase and announce the grand prize winner and additional winners at Marinelife Day at The Gardens Mall in the Grand Court at noon on Saturday, August 18. The grand prize winner’s photo will be featured as the official Juno Beach Pier Facebook profile picture and will win a $200-value LMC gift basket, including a personalized sea turtle adoption. Select photos will also appear on the official Juno Beach Pier Instagram.
Contestants may submit one high-resolution photo (iPhone photos are accepted) via email to Cassidy Sparks, LMC marketing & social media coordinator, at csparks@marinelife.org by Friday, August 10 to be entered in the contest.

About the Juno Beach Pier:
The Juno Beach Pier, managed by Loggerhead Marinelife Center, is a 990-foot pier with great saltwater fishing and sightseeing. Juno Beach and northern Palm Beach County are among the most pristine of Florida’s coastal beach communities. Juno Beach plays host to one of the most prolific and biodiverse sea turtle nesting beaches on our planet. Currently, the Juno Beach Pier welcomes more than 73,000 annual guests who access the pier (for a small fee) to fish or sightsee. A small bait shop sells admission tickets, as well as snacks and ocean-side apparel and accessories. For more information, visit marinelife.org/pier, or call (561) 627-8280.
