  • conduct undereater and beach cleanups to remove marine debris
  • monitor and protect one of the most densely populated sea turtle nesting beaches in the world

During the holiday season, there are several ways and days to shop for a cause and make your purchases have an impact.

Shop LMC. For those who are completing their holiday shopping, we encourage you to shop for a cause with our 2020 holiday gift guide! When you make a purchase in our gift store – you are giving back to ocean conservation. All purchases made in our gift store directly benefit the rehabilitation and research of endangered and threatened sea turtles. Additionally, our new and expanded gift store offers more sustainable, locally made, and handcrafted items than before. Don’t forget to explore our Choice Matters program for more sustainable goods. To make matters even sweeter, from now until December 25, guests will receive a free repurposed magazine ornament with purchases of $50 and a complimentary ornament when purchasing 11 ornaments. Spread a little holiday cheer and give your favorite sea turtle lover a gift card to our store or the gift of marine education.

Small Business Saturday. On Saturday, November 28, make a stop at our gift store, or online boutique, to celebrate Small Business Saturday. Our Center is not only a sea turtle hospital but a community hub. Through gift store sales, we are able to provide free admission to more than 350,000 annual guests and educational programs. Gift store purchases, and partnered retail operations (Juno Beach Pier and Manatee Lagoon), directly benefit our sea turtle patients and ocean conservation initiatives. Guests support allows LMC to treat nearly 100 sea turtle patients, and over 1,000 hatchlings, each year. So, shop locally and help us spread our mission globally.

Cyber Monday. Beginning on Sunday, November 29 at 10 p.m., enjoy free shipping on all online purchases, 20 percent off of sea turtle adoptions, and 10 percent off of brick pavers to be featured at our expanded campus. Receive a free ornament, while supplies last, with $50 purchases or more. For the first year ever, consumers can give the gift of figuratively naming a hatchling. Cyber Monday deals can be redeemed until Monday, November 30 at midnight. Free shipping applies to domestic shipping only.

Giving Tuesday. On Tuesday, December 1, participate in #GivingTuesday; a global day of giving fueled by social media and collaboration. Kickoff Giving Tuesday by making a tax-deductible donation in your loved one’s name, adopt a sea turtle patient, purchase a commemorative paver, or sign-up for one of our many seasonal programs. Have a heartfelt story to share? Consider submitting your story on “why you give to LMC” on Giving Tuesday’s official site.

Green Tuesday. On Tuesday, December 1, browse our online boutique for green products from local artisans in celebration of Green Tuesday. Our gift store offers a wide selection of sustainable gifts, including reusable water bottles, dishcloths, bags, and eco-friendly straws. More sustainable items, such as bee’s wax wrap, reef-safe sunscreen, and bamboo utensils are products to explore as well.

AmazonSmile. Thanks to AmazonSmile, a portion of proceeds from your purchased items will be given back to the Center. Amazon will donate 0.5 percent of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to Loggerhead Marinelife Center. Take care of online holiday deals and help provide state-of-the-art care to our patients!

Blue Table Restaurant Partners. Our Blue Table Restaurant Program is a collaborative effort with local restaurants and businesses to help protect the marine environment. Blue Table partners are working to reduce single-use plastics and promote sustainable seafood choices in their establishments. Our Blue Table partners help improve the health of our oceans, while also directly supporting LMC’s mission. This holiday season, we encourage you to purchase a gift card to or enjoy a holiday meal at one of our Blue Table partners: 1000 North, Carve Surf & Coffee, Hog Snappers Shack & Sushi, Papa Kwan’s Coffee Shop, The Cooper Restaurant, Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar, and Cucina Cabana.

Annual Fund. As we close on the year, we kindly ask that you tap into the giving spirit and donate a tax-deductible donation to our Annual Fund. With every dollar, you are helping us improve ocean water quality, reduce global marine pollution, and rehabilitate sick and injured sea turtles. Thank you for helping us start off strong in 2021 and making the holiday season a bit bluer!
