LMC Receives New Ambulance Thanks to Generous Grant Donations
For 40 years, Loggerhead Marinelife Center has been a leading authority in sea turtle and ocean conservation. Since the beginning, LMC's rehabilitation team's been hard at working giving the absolute best care to its patients in hopes of successful recovery and release.
An integral part of our care is the proper transport of these patients from the location of their rescue to our hospital. In 2022, the Sea Turtle License Plate Grant generously funded a new sea turtle ambulance to safely transport these animals.
This new LMC ambulance was partially funded by a grant awarded from the Sea Turtle Grants Program. The Sea turtle Grants Program is funded from proceeds from the sale of the Florida Sea Turtle License Plate. Learn more at helpingseaturtles.org.
