COVID-19 Precautions for a Safe Learning Space
The health and safety of our students remains our top priority. Since COVID-19 reached South Florida, we have been keeping a firm pulse on best practices and guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and American Camp Association (ACA). Some important precautionary measures we have made to our Coastal Classroom protocols include, but are not limited to:
- Restricted student capacity to 12 students per room to accommodate strict and safe social distancing
- Increased sanitation, cleaning and disinfecting protocols in alignment with CDC and ACA guidelines for BEST practices
- Required daily health screening of Coastal Learning Lounge staff, volunteers and all participating students, including hands-free temperature checks coupled with a zero-tolerance policy for any symptoms associated with COVID-19
- Required face coverings for all staff, volunteers and participating students. Guests in public areas of LMC are also required to wear face coverings through Phase I of reopening. Face coverings available for purchase at first day check-in.
