Earth Day 50th: 50 Years For the Planet! Leave a Legacy of 50 more with LMC

Loggerhead Marinelife Center celebrates the 50th anniversary of Earth Day with virtual events and activities.

Today marks an official 50 years for the planet! On the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, we invite you to leave a legacy of 50 more with us. As the conservationist and research Jane Goodall said, “You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of a difference you want to make.” Today, we hope you choose to help us create Waves of Progress and change the world with us.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, Loggerhead Marinelife Center (LMC) is offering at-home activities for viewers to honor our blue planet, including a live stream of a triple-sea turtle release today, April 22nd at 3 p.m. EST. From sunrise to sunset, be a part of Earth Day’s golden anniversary with many of LMC’s offerings.
