Ways To Give

sea-turtle-hospital-in-Florida

The continued success of Loggerhead Marinelife Center is attributed to the ongoing support of our donors. It is through your efforts that the number of LMC visitors increases each year and that LMC is able to provide first rate programming enjoyed by visitors of all ages and from all over the world. Thanks to LMC’s donors, our hospital staff is able to provide excellent medical care and treatment to sea turtles in our care. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center Development office provides donor outreach and assists and recognizes LMC supporters with their charitable contributions. Core to our mission is to listen to our donors and to exceed their expectations.

We invite you to take part in helping children and adults to develop an appreciation and desire to protect the marine environment. There are many ways to show your support and we are thankful for people like you who have embraced our mission and make possible all the good that we do.

Gifts of cash, appreciated stock and gifts of goods and services are graciously appreciated.

At Loggerhead Marinelife Center, our mission is to promote the conservation of ocean ecosystems with a special focus on threatened and endangered sea turtles. Make a Gift of Stock
Giving in the form of appreciated securities is easy — and you may receive an immediate tax deduction and savings on capital gains taxes. To transfer stock directly to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, please contact our Finance Office at 561-627-8280 ext. 111 or email [email protected] Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Make a gift with a charitable IRA rollover
For our valued donors aged 70 1/2 and older with IRAs, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) (IRA charitable rollover) and satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). The RMD is the minimum amount you must withdraw from your IRA annually, starting at age 73, while QCD distributions can begin at 70 1/2. If you don’t need the distribution for personal use, you can make a direct transfer of your RMD (or a portion of it) to our organization. This is known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). By doing so, you can satisfy your RMD requirement, which is tax-free up to a certain amount, and support our mission all at once.

This is a tax-efficient way to give, ensuring that 100% of your donation goes directly to our cause. To make a Qualified Charitable Distribution, please contact our Finance Office at 561-627-8280 ext. 111 or email [email protected] Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
