Job Summary

Loggerhead Marinelife Center offers a 3- week veterinary externship for veterinary students in clinical sea turtle medicine and rehabilitation. The caseload is reflective of a busy teaching hospital and the extern can expect exposure to all aspects of sea turtle rehabilitation. To be considered, successful candidates must demonstrate a sincere interest in marine animal or wildlife medicine and rehabilitation.

• Unofficial Transcripts from veterinary school

Only those applicants completing all forms and submitting all paperwork (cover letter, resume, 3 professional references [contact info], unofficial transcripts, and completed application form) will be considered.

Deadlines:

Externs are accepted year round and there is no deadline to apply but early application is
encouraged.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
