Job Summary
Loggerhead Marinelife Center offers a 3- week veterinary externship for veterinary students in clinical sea turtle medicine and rehabilitation. The caseload is reflective of a busy teaching hospital and the extern can expect exposure to all aspects of sea turtle rehabilitation. To be considered, successful candidates must demonstrate a sincere interest in marine animal or wildlife medicine and rehabilitation.

Deadlines:
Externs are accepted year round and there is no deadline to apply but early application is
encouraged.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. LMC does NOT offer housing or an extern stipend.
