Help us secure our new Clean Water Filtration System!
Thanks to the generosity of the $2 million dollar community matching gift we received, we now have a tremendous opportunity to finish our Capital Campaign and fully fund our new state-of-the-art Clean Water Filtration System.
Clean water is the lifeblood our sea patients rely on to ensure a successful journey from rescue to release.
Since the kick-off of our expansion campaign, a massive shift in Florida’s water quality has occurred. As the Center is a working sea turtle hospital, our patients can not be exposed to bacteria filled water or be stressed by toxic blue green algae or red tide.
Our Center has worked with world- renowned experts to blueprint and deploy the next generation of our hospital sea water system for our patients; a system that ensures our patients have high-quality, clean, salt water regardless of environmental conditions.
This system is critical to LMC’s operation and continued progress, but we need your help. Because water quality is rapidly changing, we have had to accelerate the deployment of this system.
• Our advanced hospital sea water system requires an additional investment of $6m above our original campaign goal of $14m.
It is in our DNA to innovate and discover as the leader in sea turtle and ocean conservation. We have the solution to protecting our sea turtle patients and ensuring uninterrupted operations of our highly unique educational programming.
• The solution is our next generation hospital sea water system - we need your help.
Will you please join us in being a clean water champion?
Today: Our current hospital water system pulls raw ocean water into our campus without any filtration.
With your help: We will deploy a clean water system that ensures our hospital patients have clean water for their rehabilitation regardless of environmental conditions.
