About
This Program is only for Select 7th Grade Community Experiences initiative in partnership with the School District of Palm Beach County!
Join our educators in the learning lab for an engaging exploration of coastal communities and the fascinating array of animals found in our local environment. Each week, students will discover new and exciting marine life that live in Florida’s coastal ecosystems, with focused lessons on sea turtles, biodiversity and ecology. Throughout the program, participants will discover live plants and animals collected from nearby fouling communities, gain valuable insight of the importance of environmental conservation through the lens of threatened and endangered sea turtles, and have the unique opportunity to learn the stories of our sea turtle patients and their journey from rescue to release. This hands-on experience promises an immersive learning journey, where students not only deepen their understanding of marine ecosystems but also are exposed to careers in veterinary sciences and cultivate a sense of environmental and ocean stewardship.
