Unwrap The Waves

Loggerhead Marinelife Center's Unwrap the Wave Initiative allows for students and community members to get into the "spirit" of conservation by collecting their candy wrappers from Halloween and recycling them.

Top Reasons to Attend TurtleFest 2019: Celebrating Oceans of Opportunity

It’s less than one week until Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s TurtleFest 2019: Celebrating Oceans of Opportunity! We are excited to welcome over 10,000 guests to Palm Beach County’s largest ocean conservation festival on Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Loggerhead Park (14200 U.S. Highway One, Juno Beach, FL).

Here are our top reasons to attend TurtleFest 2019:

  1. FREE Admission

Yes, TurtleFest is a completely free-admission event!

  1. Music and sweet sounds

One of the best parts about TurtleFest – besides saving the ocean – is the live local music. This year’s lineup includes Spred The Dub, Making Faces, Fireside Prophets, the Andrew Morris Band, along with other local acts!

  1. Food for every craving

The 16th Annual TurtleFest will include a variety of savory festival food, veggie options and even some sweet treats. There will be options galore to satisfy every craving, including Pizza, Tacos, Veggie Burgers, Falafel, Grilled Veggie Sandwiches, Fries, Funnel Cake, Ice Cream, and more.

  1. Craft beer & specialty drinks

Have a drink or two while you peruse the Festival! Lagunitas is coming back this year, serving beer and specialty cocktails all day! Get your beverages served in one of our reusable TurtleFest souvenir cups, and be sure to ask for the Turtle Tea, this year’s new signature drink!

  1. Educational and fun kids’ activities

Education is in our DNA. That means that even at TurtleFest, we have a variety of educational programs and activities for the whole family! From Junior Veterinary Lab to taking the #PlaticFreeWithLMC pledge, to recycled crafts, an ocean-view slide, and more!

  1. Local shopping & art – Bring a bag!

At TurtleFest, you’ll shop til you drop in our unique Vendor Row. Choose from dozens of local artisans that offer a variety of handcrafted gifts, from soy candles and handmade soaps to local jewelry and more.

  1. Sea turtles

Visit the The Outdoor Sea Turtle Hospital at Loggerhead Marinelife Center, which will be open all day, and get an up-close view of the sea turtle patients currently being rehabilitated.

  1. Chances to win some pretty cool prizes

Raffle prizes will be given away throughout the day, and be sure to get your stamp card for our main turtle prize pack drawing taking place on the main stage at 2:30 p.m.

  1. Seaside celebration

Did you know TurtleFest is Palm Beach County’s largest ocean conservation festival? Not only are we the largest ocean conservation festival – but we’re actually hosting the festival in Loggerhead Park (just behind LMC) right next to the beautiful Atlantic Ocean! That means gorgeous views, refreshing sea breezes and perfect selfie opportunities. Tag LMC at the festival using #PlasticFreeWithLMC and #TurtleFest2019, and you will be entered to win a Zero Waste prize pack!
