Celebrating Ocean Conservation & Endangered Sea Turtles
Enjoy running along scenic A1A at the 8th Annual Run 4 The Sea and support Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s mission of sea turtle and ocean conservation! This timed four-mile race begins at 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, and is open to runners and walkers.
Race participants are invited to stay and enjoy the post-race celebration with breakfast, vendors, kids’ activities, a D.J. and the awards announcement. Awards are presented to the top overall male and female, master male and female and top three male and female in 13 age groups. Runner Gift Bags and Finisher medals are given to ALL participants. Registration begins at 6:15 a.m. the morning of the race, with several packet pick-up options prior to race day.
Cost - $40; price increase to $45 after May 14 (includes a sport style participant t-shirt and custom finisher medal).
Race proceeds benefit Loggerhead Marinelife Center's mission to promote conservation of ocean ecosystems with a special focus on threatened and endangered sea turtles.
Parking will be in Loggerhead Park with overflow parking and shuttle at Juno Beach Pier Park.
1-Mile Kids Fun Run
A one-mile Kids Fun Run will immediately follow the four-mile race at 8:15 a.m. Parents can cheer their child on from the finish line or run with their child at no additional registration fee.
Cost: $20 (includes a child’s t-shirt and medal)
Can't make it to Run 4 the Sea 2019? You can still support LMC and earn a race medal and t-shirt by participating as a virtual runner – plus, you’re given the flexibility to run anywhere at any time you desire. There are no age limits or restrictions on how you clock your virtual four mile run! You do not have to submit your time, but please feel free to share a photo on LMC’s Facebook event page. Medals and t-shirts will be mailed in July to all virtual run participants.

When is the race? The four mile race takes place on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 7:00 a.m., followed by the kids' one mile race at 8:15 a.m.
Where do I pick up my race packet? Packet pick up will be at Downtown at the Gardens at Keola Health & Well-Being Footwear on Friday, June 14th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. to receive your race packet. Those participants who cannot make it to packet pick up on the 14th will be able to receive their registration materials on race morning at Loggerhead Marinelife Center beginning at 6:15 a.m.
Where do I park? Parking will be available at Loggerhead Park. There will be traffic attendants guiding vehicles to the parking areas.

Where is the start line? The start and finish line is located on Ocean drive directly adjacent to Loggerhead Marinelife Center.
What time is the kids fun run? The kids fun run will begin at 8:15 AM.
Can kids run in the four mile race? Yes, kids can run in either race based on ability, and can run or walk the four mile race.
Do I need to register to run with my child in the kids fun run? Registration is not required for adults who would like to participate in support of their child who is registered to participate. Parents are encouraged to run the race with their children or cheer from the side lines!
Do I need to register for two if I want to run with a stroller in the 4 mile race? No
What time will awards be handed out? Awards will be handed out at approximately 8:30 AM, following the kids fun run.
Will there be a bag check? Yes, next to the registration table.
Where will rankings be posted? Accuchip, the race timing company, will email all participants a link when the electronic version of race results are available. In addition, there will be a link on our website to race results.
What else can I expect to see at Run 4 The Sea? There will be a D.J., Gourmet Breakfast for race participants, Vendor Row, and Loggerhead
Weather Cancellation Policy
The safety of our Run 4 The Sea participants is critical to us. If any of the below mentioned threatening weather conditions are present the day of the event, the event may be delayed or canceled at the discretion of Loggerhead Marinelife Center. These conditions are considered “Acts of God,” and will not result in refunding of any race entry fees or future event credits. Conditions that are deemed less threatening may cause alterations of the course or the post race festivities to ensure participant, volunteer, and community safety.
Threatening Weather Conditions
Run 4 The Sea may be canceled or delayed if any of the following weather conditions exist: Tornado Warning, Tornado Watch, Tropical Storm Warning, Tropical Storm Watch, Hurricane Warning, Hurricane Watch, Thunderstorm, “Heavy” Rain, and any other major weather condition deemed threatening by Loggerhead Marinelife Center.
Start of the Race / Cancellation of the Event
The start of the event may be delayed one hour from the posted start time if any of the above mentioned conditions exist. The event may then be canceled if any of the weather conditions persist.
Authority to Cancel the Event
The Run 4 The Sea Race Director, in accordance with the city and the local law enforcement, has the authority to cancel the event. If threatening weather conditions force cancellation of the event, no refunds can be provided, since funds were already spent in preparation for race day and benefit Loggerhead Marinelife Center. In the event of cancellation, all participants will receive an e-mail with information regarding pick up of the participant packet and keepsake race materials.
If Event is canceled more than 24 hours prior to the start time: We will notify all participants by email. If Event is cancelled less than 24 hours before start time: We will notify all participants by email, and we will also send a text to all participants who agreed to receive notification text messages during the registration process. If Event is canceled during the actual event, on-site notification will be given by the event EmCee and/or Race Director. All announcements will also be made through the Run 4 The Sea event Facebook page.
