Rescue to Release Virtual Reality Theater Show

LMC’s Rescue to Release Virtual Reality Theater Show is a NEW program that allows guests to follow a sea turtle’s journey from Rescue to Release. This narrated experience uses virtual reality headsets to transport viewers into real action scenes from the beach rescue, through the hospital, and to one of our releases.

Cost: $5/person
Ages: Appropriate for ages 8 and up
Time: Tuesday-Saturday - 1pm, and 3pm


Public Guided Tour

LMC’s Public Guided Tour allows visitors to get a guided experience of our Outdoor Sea Turtle Hospital. In this tour, you will gain a deep understanding of our patients’ stories from their rescue event to their diagnosis, rehabilitation process, and release plan.
Cost: $20/person
Ages: Appropriate for ages 5+
Time: Monday-Sunday - 12pm


Private Guided Tour

LMC's Private Guided Tour enables guests to reserve a tour time that accommodates their schedule. Private tours must be booked in advance through our Guest Services Specialist.
Cost: $22/person, 8 person/$176 minimum
Ages: Appropriate for ages 5+

Virtual Tour

Looking for a creative way to celebrate at home? We will be offering weekend virtual tours! The price is $12 per person ($60 minimum for up to 10 people).

American Sign Language, Spanish, or German tours available upon request.

Beyond the Glass Tour

LMC’s Beyond the Glass is a NEW guided tour opportunity that enables guests to dive into south Florida’s coastal ecosystems through an in-person and virtual reality crossover. This unique experience provides participants with the ability to explore what goes on “beyond the glass” in each of our outdoor campus ecosystems with the help of virtual reality headsets to discover each habitat’s distinct characteristics.

Cost: $20/person
Ages: Age requirement is 8+
Time: Monday-Sunday - 2pm

ArtSEA Kids Paint Class

During this program, children will paint their own ocean sun-catcher friend to take home with them and then participate in a story time with a marine conservation theme. This program is hosted outdoors, under the canopy on our back deck, so please come dressed for the weather! Register for your desired date on our calendar.

Jr. Veterinarian Lab

Junior Veterinarian Lab accommodates up to 6 children, ages 6-12 as a self-guided program, educating children on the process of sea turtle rescue to release. The Jr. Vets come to the aid of a green sea turtle replica and learn about common injuries and illnesses that affect these endangered animals. Our self-guided Jr. Vet program is available on campus everyday and does not require signups.

Time: Everyday from 10:00am - 4:30pm
           (30 minute timeslots)

Little Naturalists

Bring out your child’s inner naturalist in our NEW Little Naturalists early learning program! In this 30-minute program, children ages 2-5 years old will explore the different sights, sounds, textures, and colors of nature through stories, activities, and an adventure into our local nature trail.

Ages: 2-5
Time: Tuesdays - 10:30 a.m.

Hatchling Tales

Our Hatchling Tales program is geared towards toddlers with a natural curiosity for marine life and sea turtles. In this free, ocean-inspired program, children will enjoy an ocean-themed story coupled with a themed craft to create and take home. This program is designed to cater to young families in the community by offering a new story and craft each session, encouraging frequent visits and support. Public Evening Guided Tour

Join us for an after-hours walk-through of our sea turtle patient’s rescue to release process and an in-depth look into our outdoor ecosystems teeming with marine life. During this tour, you will receive refreshments. Please register for your desired date on our calendar.

We currently do not have any sea turtle patients. When we resume care of sea turtles, witnessing our patients will be included in our Evening Guided Tours. Please check our website for updates on our patient case load.

Cost: $20/person
Ages: 8+
Time: Tuesday - Saturdays from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.


Jr. Research Lab

Children come to the aid of sea turtle hatchlings as junior researchers learn about the nesting process and hatchling care at Loggerhead Marinelife Center in this 30 minute program. Children will perform a mock excavation and learn about why long term data collection is important to sea turtle conservation and will release their hatchlings out to sea. Program limited to 6 children. Register at desired date on our calendar.

55 & Bolder: Health, Wellness & Science

55 & Bolder is a 1-hour program that covers topics that focus on human health along with sea turtle related topics. In partnership with St. Mary’s Medical Center, physicians and experienced staff will present on topics such as fall prevention, nutrition, emergencies, and more! Each session will end with an introduction into sea turtle medicine relating to the various topics. Science education for 55+ inspires curiosity and engagement, drawing connections to the natural world through lifelong learning. Every lecture provides attendees with an opportunity to learn about a new topic over the eight sessions. Enjoy food and beverages as well as 10% off in LMC’s Gift Store for seniors on 55 & Bolder days!
