Shane is a juvenile green sea turtle found by Inwater Research Group in Riviera Beach. This turtle has FP on both eyes and elsewhere on the body. Shane will have FP removal surgery when they are stable enough. Current treatment is antibiotics. Photo © Marisa Marulli

Unfortunately, left eye tumor involved the cornea. Dr. Emily performed an enucleation (surgical removal of the eye). Shane will need more surgeries to remove the rest of the tumors. Current treatment is antibiotics.
