Juvenile Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas) (CM25-196)

Cranberries is a juvenile green turtle transferred from Coastal Stewards. She was found with a boat strike that is mostly healed. She has FP tumors that had fishing line wrapped around them on the back left flipper. Tumor removal surgery will be planned soon for treatment.

Cranberries had tumor removal surgery on Thursday, 7/3/25, which was successful. The wound on the shoulder was also debrided. Treatment is antibiotics and will have a follow up examination three weeks post operation.
