Dwight is an adult male loggerhead found on Vero Beach. He was very anemic on intake so Dwight received a blood transfusion, tpn, fluids and antibiotics. Dwight is eating on his own now so TPN and fluids have been discontinued. Photo: Marisa Marulli

Dwight had surgery to remove the abscess on the back of his skull. Surgery findings are possible cellulitis(tissue infection) and pockets of caseous material. Dr. Barron was unable to remove all the affected tissue. Current treatment is antibiotics.
