Kemp’s ridley (Lepidochelys kempii) Transfer Patient (Lk 23-51)

Lefty is an adult Kemps Ridley. Lefty is a resident at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. Both ears have abscesses. Right ear is worse than left ear. Dr. Barron surgically removed both abscesses. The right has a port so antibiotics can be instilled into the ear. Current treatment is antibiotics.
Lefty was transferred from Miami Seaquarium. Currently undergoing a health assessment which includes bloodwork, radiographs, physical exam, and swim assessment.
