Minor Adjustments Made
Poe underwent a second surgery to remove the hooks left since Poe started to decline. Dr. Barron was able to remove a hook located in the esophagus. There is one hook left that could not be located. The body likely encapsulated it. Dr. Barron also placed an esophagostomy tube. The tube allows Poe to be tube fed straight into the stomach with minimal handling. Treatment includes tube feeding and antibiotics.
