Fireside Prophets

Facebook.com/firesideprophetsmusic/

Genre: Reggae/Rock Fusion (JAMROCK)
Hometown: Palm Beach, FL

Laid back, soaked in Florida sunshine and all twisted up in reggae-rock – this is Boca Raton’s own Fireside Prophets. Following the success of their debut EP Resinate, the dynamic three-piece group is back in the studio to prepare a full-length album for release in late 2014. Part chilled-out reggae, part slinky rock and all attitude, this is the next up and coming band to keep your eyes on.

While combining classic elements of reggae with hip hop rhythms and the crunchy attitude of 90s grunge, Fireside Prophets coined their own brand of “Dirty South Swamp Rock.” Ideal for fans of Slightly Stoopid, Authority Zero, The Expendables, Sublime or Rebelution, the group consistently pushes the limits while transporting the listener to the fun-loving, palm tree dotted warm shores of Florida.

Members:
Justin “JD” D’Alfonso – Guitar, Vocals, Bass, Piano and Ukulele
Oren Gross – Bass, Vocals, Piano, Guitar and Violin
Travis Schmeider – Drums, Percussion and Vocals

The People Upstairs

Facebook.com/thepeopleupstairs/

Genre: Supreme energy and infectious hooks
Hometown: Boynton Beach, FL

In their 11th year playing and performing together it is the chemistry and camaraderie amongst the band that has been the glue to hold them together. It’s the genuineness that appeals to all, not just the fans. It’s a mixture of brotherly love, low-brow comedy and musical talent that makes The People Upstairs more than a band. They are an act. All this is captured in their latest EP release, “Take it how you want”. With the dance-hall jam “Give me a reason” about making love on the dance floor, to the less emotional and obviously satiric “Always Drunk”. This new EP highlights the boys improved songwriting abilities and is delivered in their highest quality recording to date.
