TurtleFest 2019 - Saturday, March 23rd - 10a.m. to 6p.m.

Celebrating  Oceans of Opportunity

ENGAGE
Visit our Engage tent for oceans of opportunity to engage in ocean conservation! Adults and children alike are encouraged to climb their way through perilous ocean debris as they navigate through a ghost net in our open ocean area, rescue their own sea turtle using the latest of rehabilitation techniques, analyze field samples for environmental contaminants and take what they've learned and share it with friends, family and their community.

CHOOSE
You have oceans of opportunity to choose to be a part of a more sustainable future at our Choose Tent. Speak with LMC's conservation team as they sort trash collected off of local beaches and learn some of the the most current and staggering statistics on marine debris before you test your knowledge in a Choose to Reuse activity. Don't forget to decorate a free, reusable bag to keep in your car for your next grocery run.

ACT
Pick your pledge, snap a photo and share! There are oceans of opportunity to get social in our Act area, where you can pledge to take one (or two!) action(s) in your every day life to do you part in creating a healthier planet. From pledging to reduce your water use to using only reusable drinkware -- you can take action today. Tag us using #PlasticFreeWithLMC & #TurtleFest2019 and you'll be entered to win a Zero Waste prize pack!

PLAY
There is fun for everyone at TurtleFest, even for the smallest of hatchlings! There are oceans of opportunity for sensory nature play in our indoor Play area for children under the age of 5. From sea turtle-approved 100% post-consumer craft activities to free face painting, young children and families are bound to have a turtle-y great time.

Conservation Row
Join us in the Conservation Row to learn more about some of the organizations working each and every day to help protect our ocean and marine life. Explore more about the threats to our ocean, and how these conservation organizations are helping the marine environment- as well as different ways you can get involved!
