Issue: Predator Wounds

Arwen is a juvenile green sea turtle patient that was found floating at Dubois Park in Jupiter. The turtle has predator bite wounds to its carapace, plastron, neck, and flippers. The wounds will be treated with betadine and therapeutic laser. Arwen will receive antibiotics and be monitored closely as its wounds are treated.

PROGRESS KEY:

This turtle is progressing well and responding to therapy as desired.

There is a minor issue that we are working to resolve.

04/10/2020 -Arwen was released!

03/26/2020 -Arwen's white cell count is remaining normal.

03/19/2020 -Arwen's white cell count is now normal.

03/12/2020 - Arwen's white cell count is the high end of normal.

03/05/2020 -Arwen's white cell count is now normal.

02/27/2020 - Arwen’s white cell count continues to decline and is almost down to normal.

02/20/2020 - Arwen’s wounds are healing so well that the treatment is now only once daily.

02/06/2020 -Arwen's wounds seem to be healing rapidly.
