Bart is a subadult loggerhead sea turtle patient that was found stranded on Marco Island. After receiving initial care at the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, the turtle was transferred to LMC for continued care. The turtle has a hook in its mouth, and boat strike injuries to its head and carapace.

Patient requires continued treatment but is progressing well.

PROGRESS NOTES:

03/02/2022 - Bart showed a significant decline in condition over the past week as a result of the traumatic injures. It was decided that humanely ending the turtle’s suffering was the best thing for it, so it was humanely euthanized this morning.
