Issue: Intestinal Impaction - Chronic Debilitation

Big Chase is a subadult male loggerhead sea turtle patient that was found by biologists from Inwater Research Group at FPL’s St. Lucie site. The turtle is underweight, and radiographs revealed an intestinal impaction of crab shells and large barnacles. Big Chase will be closely monitored by hospital staff with routine bloodwork as he receives treatment.
