Blackbead (BB) is a post hatchling green that was found washed up on South Beach Park, Boca Raton. The right eye had extensive damage so it was removed. Currently not using the left flipper and the joint is swollen. Working diagnosis is septic arthritis. Treatment includes antibiotics, pain medication, fluids and tube feeding.

PROGRESS NOTES:

3/31/2023 - The right eye had extensive damage so it was removed. Septic arthritis started spreading and the turtle did not have vision in left eye. Elected humane euthanasia.

3/24/2023 - Started eating regularly. Treatment includes antibiotics.

3/17/2023 - New patient.
