Issue: Unintentional Boat Strike
Bunny is a juvenile loggerhead sea turtle patient that was found unintentionally hit by a boat near the Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge. The turtle has propeller strike injuries to its head and cranial carapace. The wounds will be treated topically with honey and therapeutic laser. Bunny will receive antibiotics and be closely monitored by hospital staff as the boat strike injuries are treated.

09/10/2020 - Bunny was released from Loggerhead Park! Watch Video
09/04/2020 - Bunny is progressing well and is near being medically cleared for release. The carapacial wounds have healed very nicely and the turtle has been off all medications for two weeks.
