Issue: Predator Wounds

Burton Jr. is a juvenile green sea turtle patient that was found stranded in Jensen  Beach. The turtle has predator related injuries on its carapace, plastron, head, and flippers. Bloodwork taken upon arrival also revealed evidence of a systemic infection. Burton Jr.’s wounds will be treated topically with betadine and the turtle will receive antibiotics as it is closely monitored by hospital staff.
