Loggerhead Marinelife Center's Unwrap the Wave Initiative allows for students and community members to get into the "spirit" of conservation by collecting their candy wrappers from Halloween and recycling them.

Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) (CM23-28)

Dilly is a juvenile green sea turtle that was rescued by biologists at Inwater Research Group in St. Lucie County with a flipper wound. Dr. Barron performed surgery to repair the flipper wound. The flipper was able to be saved. Receiving antibiotics. Will need another surgical debridement.

Dr. Barron performed surgery on Monday to repair the flipper wound. The flipper was able to be saved. Currently has a honey bandage on the flipper and is receiving antibiotics. In shallow water to limit movement while the flipper heals.
