Loggerhead Marinelife Center's Unwrap the Wave Initiative allows for students and community members to get into the "spirit" of conservation by collecting their candy wrappers from Halloween and recycling them.

Loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta) (CC23-32)

Dora is a sub-adult loggerhead sea turtle that was rescued by biologists at Inwater Research Group in St. Lucie County. Monofilament line constriction wounds on both front flippers and neck. Left flipper was surgically amputated. Right front flipper was debrided and has a honey bandage. Slow recovery from surgery so receiving supportive care in the hospital.
