Gad is named in honor of Josh Gad the voice of Olaf in Disney’s Frozen and recent guest at Loggerhead Marinelife Center.

Gad is a sub-adult loggerhead that was found by the Inwater Research Group in St. Lucie County. The initial bloodwork showed slight anemia and overall poor health due to starvation (debilitation). Hospital staff administered fluids, antibiotics, and iron supplements. We will continue to monitor bloodwork closely as we treat Gad.
