Issue: Chronic Debilitation
Hermé is a subadult loggerhead sea turtle patient that was found at FPL\'s St. Lucie site. The patient\'s bloodwork on arrival indicated anemia and hypoglycemia. Herme is underweight and in poor health overall due to chronic debilitation. Hermé is receiving fluids and antibiotics, and will be closely monitored by hospital staff with routine bloodwork as it's being treated.
PROGRESS KEY:
This turtle is progressing well and responding to therapy as desired.
There is a minor issue that we are working to resolve.

03/12/2020 - Hermé was released on March 12!
03/05/2020 -Hermé has been cleared for release next week.
02/27/2020 - Hermé\'s packed cell volume is up to 28% and the turtle may be ready for release soon.
02/20/2020 - Hermé\'s packed cell volume is up to 26%.
02/13/2020 - Hermé's packed cell volume finally began to increase this week.
02/06/2020 - Hermé's packed cell volume is not yet increasing.
01/30/2020 -Hermé has been started on weekly iron injections.
01/23/2020 -Hermé's packed cell volume appears to be leveling of, so it may be necessary to start iron injections soon.
01/16/2020 -Hermé's packed cell volume is now up to 25%.
01/09/2020 -Hermé's packed cell volume is continuing to improve (24%).
01/02/2020 -Hermé's packed cell volume has gone up enough that the turtle is being started on anti-parasite medication.
12/26/2019 -Hermé's white cell count is now normal.
12/19/2019 -Hermé's white cell count is continuing to improve.
12/12/2019 -Hermé's white cell count is coming down gradually.
12/05/2019 - Hermé is now eating well and should begin responding to the medication soon.
