Initial Condition: Entanglement

Captain Hook is a juvenile green that found in Lantana, FL entangled in fishing line. Radiographs indicated a hook had been ingested and stuck in the esophagus.

2/5/2023 - Captain Hook was successfully released from Lantana Beach on Feb. 1, 2023.

1/13/2023 - Sea_turtle_icon(green)Another hook was found in the front right flipper. Dr. Barron removed both hooks on Jan 3. A small incision was made over the barb of the hook, then the hook was pushed through the incision, and the barb was cut off before pulling the hook through completely.
