Issue: Buoyancy Disorder

Jag is a juvenile green sea turtle patient that was found floating in the Intracoastal Waterway in Hobe Sound. The turtle has old, healed trauma to its carapace from an unknown cause. Radiographs also revealed an impaction and a large amount of gas in the turtle’s intestines. Jag will receive treatment and will be closely monitored by hospital staff as the buoyancy disorder is treated. Jag’s prognosis is good.
