12/06/2021 - Little T’s topical treatments on his left eye have been discontinued, as they do not appear to be improving his eye. The turtle is most likely nonvisual in that eye, but we do not attribute this to his coordination issues. After the last dose of antiparasitic was administered, the turtle’s coordination improved and he has started eating better on his own again. We are using food enrichment, like live blue crabs, to better assess his ability to capture live prey. We plan on administering another dose of the antiparasitic in the near future.
