Issue: Systemic Infection

Mark is a juvenile green sea turtle patient that was found washed ashore in Juno Beach. Bloodwork taken upon arrival revealed evidence of a systemic infection and the turtle has superficial trauma to its carapace, plastron, and right front flipper. Mark’s wounds will be treated topically with betadine and the turtle will receive antibiotics as it is closely monitored by hospital staff.
