Issue: Chronic Debilitation; Cold Stun; Pneumonia

Panda is a subadult loggerhead sea turtle patient that was found stranded as a cold stun in Sanibel. After receiving initial care at the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, the turtle was transferred to LMC for continued care. The turtle has pneumonia and is in poor health due to chronic debilitation.

Patient requires continued treatment but is progressing well.

Minor adjustments have been made to the patient's treatment.

PROGRESS NOTES:

03/21/2022 - Panda showed a significant decline in condition over the past week as a result of the pneumonia and chronic debilitation. It was decided that humanely ending the turtle’s suffering was the best thing for it, so it was humanely euthanized.
