Loggerhead Marinelife Center's Unwrap the Wave Initiative allows for students and community members to get into the "spirit" of conservation by collecting their candy wrappers from Halloween and recycling them.

About Peanut Pie

Species:

Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) (CM23-24)

Peanut Pie is a juvenile green that restranded at Dubois Park in Jupiter. Found floating and unable to dive. Radiographs indicated GI gas. Healed boat strike wound on cranial carapace. Current treatment includes antibiotics, fluids and gut motility drugs.

 Previous stay at LMC: Peanut Pie is a juvenile green found near Peanut Island. Treatment includes TPN, wound vac, and a honey bandage. Started eating off tongs.
