ADMISSION NOTE:

Pongo is a juvenile green that was found in Coral Cove Park in Tequesta. The turtle appeared debilitated and has an old injury on the front left flipper. The turtle was started on antibiotics and fluids. Pongo appears to have a good appetite.

PROGRESS KEY:

This turtle is progressing well and responding to therapy as desired.

There is a minor issue that we are working to resolve.

06/07/2018 –  Pongo was released at Coral Cove on June 6!

05/30/2018 –  Pongo has been taken off all medications and may be ready for release in the near future if it continues to be normal.

03/09/2018 –  Pongo’s white cell count is continuing to increase. Additional medications have been added to the treatment regimen.

03/01/2018 –  Pongo’s white cell count is starting to increase. The treatment regimen has been modified.

02/23/2018 –  Pongo was moved outside and seems to be doing well.

02/14/2018 –  Pongo’s appetite is good, but the white cell count remains elevated.
