ADMISSION NOTE:

Pumpkin is a juvenile green sea turtle that was found near a dock on Palm Beach Island. The turtle was found entangled in a net and has a constriction injury to its left front flipper. We will monitor the turtle as we treat the wound appropriately.

03/30/2017 Sea_turtle_icon(green)Pumpkin was released on Tuesday, March 28th.

03/22/2017 Sea_turtle_icon(green)Has been cleared for release.

03/08/2017 Sea_turtle_icon(green)The blood results have been within normal limits and we are considered discontinuing antibiotics.

12/14/2016 – Sea_turtle_icon(yellow)A contrast radiology study was done. We have also started tube feeding because Pumpkin is too active to parenteral nutrition.

12/09/2016 – Sea_turtle_icon(yellow)Pumpkin is still not eating well. Radiographs are being done over the next few days to determine if there is an internal problem.

11/30/2016 – Sea_turtle_icon(yellow)Pumpkin is still not eating well. We are making gel-diets to entice the turtle to eat more.

11/10/2016 – Sea_turtle_icon(green)Turtle is doing well except that it has not yet begun to eat. Medication is being given to stimulate the turtle’s appetite. Turtle continues to receive antibiotics and wound treatment.
