Issue: Buoyancy Disorder, Neurological Disorder

Ralphie is a juvenile green sea turtle patient that was found stranded in a tide pool near the Palm Beach Inlet. The turtle arrived with a buoyancy disorder, and radiographs also revealed a mild impaction in the turtle’s intestines. Ralphie will receive fluids and be closely monitored by hospital staff as the buoyancy disorder is treated.

01/28/2021 -Ralphie deteriorated quickly and succumbed to it's injuries.

01/01/2021 -Ralphie’s condition has deteriorated over the past two weeks, and the turtle’s treatment plan has been changed to reflect this. We are attempting a novel therapy to address Ralphie’s underlying condition. The turtle’s prognosis remains poor.
