Issue: Gastrointestinal Issue

Sammy is a juvenile green sea turtle patient that was found stranded in the Loxahatchee River in Jupiter. Radiographs taken upon arrival revealed a large amount of feces in the turtle\'s intestines. Sammy with receive antibiotics and be monitored closely as the gastrointestinal issue is treated.

PROGRESS KEY:

This turtle is progressing well and responding to therapy as desired.

There is a minor issue that we are working to resolve.

PROGRESS NOTES:

03/05/2020 -Sammy was released on March 5 from Loggerhead Park

02/27/2020 -Sammy appears to be almost ready for release.

02/20/2020 -Sammy was taken off all medication this week.

02/13/2020 -Sammy\'s white cell count remained normal this week, so medication may be discontinued next week.

02/06/2020 -Sammy\'s white cell count is back to normal.

01/30/2020 -Sammy's treatment regimen has been readjusted.

01/23/2020 -Sammy appears to be responding well to treatment and the white cell count is improving.

01/15/2020 - New Patient
