Seiche (pronounced SAYSH) is a sub-adult loggerhead sea turtle patient that was found floating in the Intracoastal Waterway in Stuart. The turtle was potentially exposed to a biotoxin, that is causing its muscles to continuously spasm. Seiche was also experiencing seizures upon arrival, that were stopped with the use of anti-seizure medication. The turtle will be monitored closely as we treat its symptoms.
