ADMISSION NOTE:

Star is a juvenile green sea turtle patient that was found floating in the Intracoastal Waterway. The turtle is debilitated and has had a chronic systemic infection. The turtle also has an old boat strike injury to the back of the carapace. The bones in the pelvis and rear flippers were shattered and have healed, creating malformed rear flippers, especially on the right side. The turtle has been started on antibiotics and will receive intravenous Parenteral Nutrition starting in the next few days. We will monitor the infection and overall health of the turtle with weekly bloodwork.
