Te Fiti is a subadult loggerhead sea turtle patient that was found at FPL’s St. Lucie site. The turtle has a deep wound on its right front flipper from an unknown cause. The wound will be treated topically with honey and therapeutic laser. Te Fiti will receive antibiotics and be closely monitored by hospital staff as its wound is treated.

Te Fiti continues to undergo regular surgical debridements, as well as topical medications, therapeutic laser and aquapuncture.
