Issue: Trauma

Tyke is a juvenile green sea turtle patient that was found washed up on the beach in Juno Beach. Tyke is missing a rear flipper and radiographs reveal a fractured front flipper. These injuries are possibly the result of an entanglement. Tyke will receive treatment and be closely monitored by hospital staff with routine diagnostics.

07/02/2021 - Sea_turtle_icon(green)Tyke has made excellent progress and the turtle’s flipper fractures are healing nicely. Tyke’s swimming behavior has improved and the turtle is gaining weight and very active. Tyke’s prognosis is excellent.
