Issue: Predator Wounds

Tyler is a juvenile green sea turtle patient that was found at Hobe Sound Beach. The turtle has predator bite wounds to its carapace, plastron, and flippers. The wounds will be treated topically with betadine, honey, and therapeutic laser. Tyler will receive antibiotics and be monitored closely as its wounds are treated.

PROGRESS KEY:

This turtle is progressing well and responding to therapy as desired.

There is a minor issue that we are working to resolve.

06/11/2020 -Tyler was released!

06/05/2020 -Tyler has been medically cleared for release.

05/28/2020 -Tyler's white cell count continues to be normal.

05/22/2020 -Tyler's white cell count continues ot be normal and the antibiotics have been discontinued.

05/15/2020 -Tyler's white cell count remains normal.

05/08/2020 -Tyler's white cell count remains normal.

05/01/2020 -Tyler's white cell count is down to normal.

04/24/2020 -Tyler's white cell count continues to come down.

04/17/2020 -Tyler's white cell count is coming down more quickly with the additional antibiotic.

04/09/2020 -Tyler's white cell count is coming down slowly, so a new antibiotic has been added to the treatment.
