Issue: Trauma

Xavier is a juvenile green sea turtle patient that was found floating in the Loxahatchee River in Jupiter. The turtle has trauma to its carapace from an unknown cause. The wounds will be treated topically with betadine, honey, and therapeutic laser. Xavier will receive antibiotics and be closely monitored by hospital staff as its injuries are treated.

06/25/2020 -Sea_turtle_icon(green)Xavier's white cell count has decreased under the new treatment protocol and its wounds are healing well.

06/19/2020 -Sea_turtle_icon(green)Xavier's white cell count has increased again so a new treatment protocol has been started.
