Xavier is a juvenile green sea turtle patient that was found floating in the Loxahatchee River in Jupiter. The turtle has trauma to its carapace from an unknown cause. The wounds will be treated topically with betadine, honey, and therapeutic laser. Xavier will receive antibiotics and be closely monitored by hospital staff as its injuries are treated.
This turtle is progressing well and responding to therapy as desired.
There is a minor issue that we are working to resolve.
More details to follow.
