Loggerhead Marinelife Center Named Top 3 “Best Free Attractions” in the U.S. by USA Today

Juno Beach, Fla. (May 22, 2023) ─ Loggerhead Marinelife Center (LMC) has been named the third “Best Free Attraction” in USA Today‘s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards. The winners were announced on Friday, May 19, after four weeks of online voting by the public. USA Today’s panel of travel experts and public votes selected the Center from among 20 nationwide nominees. Other nominees included some of the country’s most notable landmarks such as Central Park, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Great Smoky Mountains.

“To be among the top three winners is a tremendous accomplishment and a great reflection of the amazing experiences Loggerhead Marinelife Center has to offer,” said Andy Dehart, President and CEO of Loggerhead Marinelife Center. “Thank you to all of our local and national supporters who made this possible.”

For 40 years, the Center has been one of Florida’s most visited nonprofit environmental destinations. LMC focuses on ocean and sea turtle conservation through educational and recreational activities. Each year, the Center’s team and volunteers treat nearly 100 sea turtles and 1,000 hatchlings at its oceanside facility.
