Unwrap The Waves

Loggerhead Marinelife Center's Unwrap the Wave Initiative allows for students and community members to get into the "spirit" of conservation by collecting their candy wrappers from Halloween and recycling them.

It’s International Volunteer Appreciation Week

LMC extends a BIG thank you to our dedicated team of volunteers

It is National Volunteer Appreciation week, and Loggerhead Marinelife Center has a lot of amazing volunteers we would like to extend a BIG thank you to!

Our 460+ group of dedicated volunteers help the Center with everything from assisting with daily sea turtle hospital activities, as well as helping out at the Juno Beach Pier, supporting the education, conservation, development and retail operations departments, and more. LMC would not be able to operate without them!

They are the first ones you see when walking through the Center’s doors, and from offering a friendly smile to providing great sea turtle facts and even sharing tidbits about the Center’s history, our generous volunteers donated more than 53,000 hours of service in 2018.

This week and every week, we are appreciative of the volunteers on our team and humbly thank them for their unwavering commitment and service to the important work we do each and every day at LMC.
