Enrichment

We continue our search for a permanent home for our non-releasable patient, Turtwig. We have been providing Turtwig with enrichment devices in order to encourage natural behavior. While in their natural environment, Green Sea Turtles keep their shell free of algae and barnacles by using sponges, rocks, etc. as rubbing posts. We provide Turtwig with various devices made from PVC piping and hard bristle brushes to encourage this natural behavior.
