About Cowabunga

Species:

Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) (CM23-40)

Cowabunga is a juvenile green found in Lantana. Cowabunga had a fishing hook embedded in shoulder and ingested line. Dr. Barron was able to remove the hook with light sedation but was unable to remove all the line. Current treatment includes antibiotics and monitor fecal matter for the line.
